Rain, Unemployment and Motivation.
(image: http://musingsofanothermother.blogspot.co.uk)
Dear readers,
I am happy so many of you have come and visited my blog in the last day. It is so nice to make new blog friends and share ideas with you. One of the reasons I started writing again is because I left my job last week. I wasn't enjoying it and so I left but I am currently unemployed and job hunting, so I have a lot of time to carry on writing my blog. I hope when I do start work I can continue updating too.
Also, here in London its just so rainy. This shouldnt be a surprise seeing as London rains a lot right? But it can make you tired and sap your motivation.

So a few questions on this drizzly day. How do you motivate yourself? Are any of you unemployed also?
Lots of love!

ReplyDeleteI heard about all the rain in London! Be careful!! I lost my job of 4 years, about 2 years ago and I panicked. I went straight to an agency and got placed. I'm not sure if they have those in Europe?? Best wishes dearie on finding a new job that makes you happy.
ReplyDeleteMotivation? Well I still struggle with that...getting a good night sleep does help me and looking at past achievements help me realize that I can do whatever falls onto my path! =)

That's a very bold move! But it's good that you're aware of what makes you happy. in your career (or rather, what doesn't make you happy!).
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm feeling unmotivated, I like to read articles about successful entrepreneurs and visionaries. Inspiring stuff.
Sometimes a little time off is what you need! I'm about to become unemployed as well, hah. Hope you stay safe from the rain.
ReplyDeleteI adore your blog, would you like to follow each other?

xx.
I am currently studying in London and I must admit that in this city it's not that easy to stay motivated. Especially when I get home by the end of the day, completely soaked by the rain and all I want is a big chocolate cake and a glass of wine, wrap on the couch with some blankets and watch a great film... But since that would obviously get me into trouble at the university, I usually think of my objectives to get me back on track. I even place objects in specific places of the house, so that I remember about what I should be doing at the moment! I think I'm also going to buy some wall posters will motivational quotes.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything goes well for you!
My Own Project
thanks for your advice ana, such good ideas xxx
DeleteI have been unemployed several times but must of the times I did not enjoy those jobs or maybe the people around that job... right now I have my own accessorize brand (wild lola) and I really have fun designing. I never thought to work as designer even it is my fave thing. As I studied journalism and marketing it was not easy to make the decision. You must motivate doing whatever you like to do the most, go out and think about what you wanna do, where, how, see what others do (also stranger in the street)... I feel quite inspired like that and many times those dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteand the most important thing: try to enjoy your free time, there will be a time where you will not have enough time for you!
I have left a couple of jobs because I was unhappy, it's very freeing and also a little scary at the same time. I hope that you find something soon. xx
