Thoughts on a Thursday...

(image:vi.sualize.us)

Hi friends,

So today is a thoughtful day.. I have been thinking a lot about life and future and so many things! I start my masters degree next month and I just got my welcome pack, saying details for fees and reading lists and enrollment. Whilst very exciting this is also nerve wracking- I'm going to be a student again!!

Other thoughts...

I am reading all books by David Nicholls. My dad had 'One Day' which you must must must read. A true masterpiece. And I can't wait to see the film with Anne Hathaway! I'm now reading Starter for Ten- a book about university challenge and a student longing to fit in. Its quite funny. Not romantic like One Day but still great writing. I am lucky that my wonderful Dad is also a book worm like me so I get to borrow his books!

I also read the Help by Kathryn Stockett last month and the film is out soon... oh books and films. I am so excited to see them both.

Lastly I just want to say Happy Birthday to my very special Dad who I know reads my blog!!

How is your thursday??

  1. i'm in the middle of the help. so. good.

and kudos for tackling grad school! i'm two semesters away from my masters and it feels like i've been in the program forever. but an education is something NO ONE can ever take from you. it's worth it. worth the money. the late nights and the stress. because once you've got it--it's one of the only things that's yours for life.

  2. I've got 'starter for 10' and its kind of hilarious and sad at the same time. Got the film as well, its not bad as films of books go

  3. I've read The Help and mean to read One Day in the near future. I haven't heard of Starter for Ten. I'll definitely be looking into it!

Good luck with graduate school! I start my Masters in Education on Monday. It feels very similar to college so far but I'm still at the same place as I was for undergraduate. Have fun and glad you're enjoying your time to read!

  6. I haven't popped by in awhile, and I just wanted to wish you tons of luck starting out your master's program! I hope you still have time to blog and stuff because I love your posts <33. I want to read both One Day and The Help so badly! I have a feeling I will end up watching The Help's movie version before I actually read the book, which is usually a big no-no for me, but oh well! :) Have a lovely day dear.

  7. I couldn't get into "One Day" for some reason, and then I had to return it to the library before I finished it. Maybe just busy summer and not enough reading time! I'll try it again this winter, or maybe starter for 10 instead!
